A Game Of Strategy
1-6 players
This is a game of strategy. More tokens on the pallet = more points. Players want to get markers on the board and can, with positioning, force an opponent to take risks and tip the pallet over.
Before the game begins players agree how many points will end the game. For 2 players we recommend starting with 50 points.
Begin the round: place the crystal glass ball in the center hole and carefully balance the clear plastic “pallet” flat on top of the crystal ball using the hole in the center. (the small ball is easiest to balance) In turn, each player being careful not to tip the pallet places a token on the pallet. To start we suggest putting the first tokens nearest the center. If the pallet is tipped and the tokens slide off the round ends.
Point scores all played tokens are the total points for the round. The player who tipped the pallet receives no points. If more than 2 people play, the total points are divided equally among those who did NOT tip the pallet.
Elements of strategy … to avoid tipping the pallet, the safest positions are closest to the center, further away is increasingly risky. Players may choose to play it safe or be more aggressive by placing their tokens further away from the center. This is a matter of skill, judgment and chance.
Game over is the number of points agreed upon at the beginning of the game.
Pallets with lines provide spaces where tokens can only be placed inside the lined areas.
Clear boxes with marbles. Players select a box and place it anywhere on the pallet. After the box is placed if the pallet is even slightly tipped the marbles inside the box may roll shifting the weight in an unanticipated direction and tipping the pallet.
The LED lights.
Platinum Version: Blue LED lights illuminate the base with additional lighting below the center. The center light illuminates both crystal balls. The light controller uses 3 AA batteries (not included).
Gold Version: Multicolored LED center light illuminates the center only.
Alternative Games
The standard game uses the clear pallet.
Players may place their tokens anywhere on the clear pallet surface.
Three additional pallet designs are included with the Platinum Version. Each has a unique grid and rules for placement.
